I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.....

When they said it snowed in Alaska... they were not kidding! It started snowing a little bit before Halloween and has not stopped!
No matter who you are in Alaska, from October until March you will be wearing a hat to cover your ears, gloves to warm your hands, a very heavy coat (maybe two), an nice warm boots that will manage the coldest of cold weather. The roads are no longer black top... they are all covered with a thin layer of ice, and your not going to drive over 30 mph, because there is a moose just lerking through the shadows and they are not afraid to walk out in front of you. Here are a few pictures to kind of show you how cold it is here in Kenai Alaska. This is the hotel where I work.
Kenai Airport Hotel

Pulling out of the parking lot of the hotel,
and on to the road to go home.
This is the Airport right across the street
from the hotel.
No matter how deep the snow gets, or how cold the weather is, The Criner Family will stay in Alaska!
